Special Events: First Lady's Luncheon
The Des Plaines First Lady’s Lunch was held Saturday, September
8, 2007, at Café La Cave, 2777 Mannheim Road. The event which had a
chocolate theme, was hosted by Jean Arredia, Des Plaines Mayor Tony
Arredia’s wife, and members of the Mayor’s Family Health Committee.
Highlighting the event was a presentation by Linda Hills, owner of
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, and a special chocolate dessert
demonstration by Café La Cave’s Chef Jeff Myers. Graham’s Fine
Chocolates and Ice Cream, Geneva provided favors. 2007 marks the
fifth year that a First Lady’s Lunch has been held. The event, which
attracts approximately 200 people, is a benefit for the Healthy
Community Partnership Foundation, which provides assistance to those
in need in the local community.

luncheon held Saturday.
