
Special Events: Genealogy Program at the History
Center
On Thursday, October 11th at 1:30 pm the History Center will host
a free program as part of its monthly series, Coffee Talk. The
presentation called, "Write Your Family History Now" features
speaker and genealogist Mike Karsen. Karsen will explain the basics
of genealogical research and offer suggestions on how to write a
family history. Beginning and experienced genealogists are invited
to attend this presentation held in the History Center's Visitor
Center at 781 Pearson Street. No reservation required.
Supported by the City of Des Plaines, the Des Plaines Park
District, and the Des Plaines Historical Society, the Des Plaines
History Center consists of three facilities, the Visitor Center, the
Kinder House, and the Fisher-Wright House. For more information
