Special Events: New Exhibit Opens at the History
Center
2007 marks the 40th anniversary of the Des
Plaines Historical Society.
In honor of this milestone, a new exhibit featuring objects from
the Society's collection will be on display in the Visitor Center,
781 Pearson Street. The exhibit, "40 Years of Collecting" will
include items such as musical instruments, a bicycle and bike
accessories, parking meters and artwork. The wide variety of items
on display showcase the diverse holdings of the Historical Society
and highlight many items that are rarely viewed by the public.

reception at the Visitor Center from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. The exhibit is
free and open to the public Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm and

History Center consists of three facilities, the Visitor Center, the
