Special Events: School Days Off - Bean Bags
Before Beanie Babies, bean bag chairs and even Mr. Bean there
was…the bean bag. On February 19, 2007 The History Center’s School
Day Off Program will feature a craft project where kids can make
this original beanie toy. Make a reservation for the 1:00 - 2:00 or
2:00 - 3:00 pm session. Kids ages 5-12 will make their own set of
bean bags with colorful felt. We will play some bean bag games and
learn how to juggle (no guarantees on immediate success!). Call the
History Center to make a reservation: $2.00/child members,
$3.00/child non-members.
Supported by the City of Des Plaines, the Des Plaines Park
District, and the Des Plaines Historical Society, the Des Plaines
History Center consists of three facilities, the Visitor Center, the
Kinder House, and the Fisher-Wright House. For more information
about the program, call 847-391-5399.
