Des Plaines Elks Perform Flag Day Ceremony
Des Plaines, IL, Saturday, June 14, 10:00 am: Des Plaines Elks
Lodge #1526 will perform its annual Flag Day Ceremony on their lodge
grounds at 495 Lee Street in Des Plaines. This event is open to the
public.
James Cusack, Exalted Ruler of the Des Plaines Elks will perform
the Ceremony.
The ceremony will include presentment of US Flags, color guard, and
flag history.
Guest speaker, Master Sergeant Korous, USMC will speak on
Americanism and Our Flag. Vocalist Mary Campbell will perform our
National Anthem, and Bugles Across America will perform their moving
rendition of Echoing Taps.
Ceremony participants: Chicago Police Dept., Des Plaines Police
Dept., United States Marines, VFW Post #2992, Vietnam Veterans of
America Chapter #311, The American Legion Post #36, Des Plaines Boy
Scout Troop #6.
