Friday Night Live on
Metro Square
 The
Des Plaines Special Events Commission invites the public to attend
the Friday Night Live On Metro Square entertainment series held 6:30
– 9:45 pm, Fridays, June 20 & 27 and July 11 & 25, 2008, in Metro
Square, downtown Des Plaines. The series, which is free, offers
something for everyone including music, dance, singing, and comedy.
Headed up by the City’s Special Events Commissioner Sister Clare
Marie (yes, a nun!) the series consists of the following
performances:
June 20
6:30 pm Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth
Choir
7:10 pm Arkady Bodner:Music from Around the World
7:50 pm Fil-Am Club of St. Peter (Skokie) Dance Group
8:15 pm Six Foot Ceilng
June 27
6:30 pm Trinity United Methodist Church
7:30 pm Artistry in Motion/AIM 2 Dance Companies
8:15 pm Kevin Cunningham, Comedian
8:45 pm Tripple Shot!
July 11
6:30 pm Route 66
7:30 pm The Happy Twirlers
8:00 pm Cast from "Bye, Bye Birdie" (Footlighters Theatre Company)
8:30 pm FUNK du JOUR
July 25
6:30 pm Karaoke
7:45 pm Galina Dance Studio
8:30 pm Neil Rose Band
