(approved in 1992) as required by the Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) in order to comply with the minimum requirements of
the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP); amendments include
clarification of definitions, i.e. "substantial improvement;"
permit replacement fences within the floodway for residential
properties; permit new houses that receive a Letter of Map
Revision to have a finished floor below the 100-year flood plain
(recommended by Director of Engineering)
