2007 Press Release: National Garden Week
For immediate release
May 22, 2007
 Members of the Des Plaines Garden Club were
pleased to receive a proclamation from Des Plaines Mayor Tony
Arredia declaring June 3- June 10, 2007 as National Garden Week. It
is the goal of the Des Plaines Garden Club "to encourage gardening
for health, for fun and for keeping Des Plaines Beautiful!"
(pictured above left to right) Mayor Tony Arredia poses with Des
Plaines Garden Club President Ann Ostenson in his office as the
proclamation is presented. Locally the Des Plaines Garden Club will
be presenting a display at the Library as well as posters in stores
and announcements on public billboards.
