2007 Press Release: DAR Gives Donation to Des Plaines History Center
For immediate release
August 17, 2007
The Twenty-first Star Chapter of the Daughters of the American
Revolution (DAR) presented the Des Plaines History Center with a
monetary donation on August 13, 2007. The donation will be used for
the preservation of the History Center's archival materials. The
History Center's Archives Manager, Shari Caine said, "We appreciate
the support of local service organizations like the DAR who help us
fulfill our mission to preserve local history. We will use this
donation to purchase archival boxes and other material needed to
properly care for our historical documents."
