2007 Press Release: PW Schedules Final Branch Pickup Following the
Storm
For immediate release
September 10, 2007
The Des Plaines Public Works Department has completed major
debris removal for the entire City following the August 23, 2007
storm. Beginning Monday, September 17, Public Works crews will make
a final City-wide "sweep," removing any remaining branches that may
have been missed. This will be the last chipping operation for 2007.
Once this is complete, staff will prepare equipment for leaf season.
Two Public Works crews will continue tree-trimming operations.
