2007 Press Release: Contributions Sought For Vet Memorial Cleanup

Local Des Plaines veteran groups sadly report that vandals have
painted graffiti on the Veterans Memorial at Lake Park. Every wall,
including the floor, was damaged. The Lake Park Memorial Pavilion
Committee, in conjunction with the Des Plaines Park District, is
working on cleaning up this sad sign of disrespect. Cost of the
removal will be about $5,000. Expense for this will include removal
and painting.
Contributions can be made to the Lake Park Memorial Pavilion
Committee (LPMP), 1291 Oakwood, Des Plaines, 60016. For additional
