2007 Press Release: Fire Department Inspector Receives Award

The Des Plaines Fire Department is pleased to announce that
Inspector David Schuman has received the Illinois Fire Inspectors
New Horizon Award for Public Education. Inspector Schuman began
his 6 year career with the Des Plaines Fire Department as a
firefighter/paramedic until joining Des Plaines’ Fire Prevention
Bureau. While working in the Bureau Inspector Schuman has revived
and implemented new guidelines bringing fire and life safety
education programs to the schools and residents of Des Plaines.
