2008 Press Release: Special Events Commission Acknowledges RG Smith
For immediate release
March 1, 2008
 Patricia and Shirlee Smith, Des Plaines
residents and owners of R.G. Smith Equipment Co., 622 Northwest
Hwy., were presented with a plaque of appreciation by Des Plaines
Special Events Commissioner Jim Wozny who serves as the Chairman of
Des Plaines’ annual New Year’s Eve on the Plaza. The event, in its
5th year, offers free food and entertainment in downtown Des Plaines
on New Year’s Eve. The Smith sisters helped sponsor transportation
(free trolley rides) that were used to transport participants at
this year’s New Year’s Eve event. (pictured above left to right)
