2008 Press Release: Happy Birthday, US ARMY!

The Army recently celebrated a 233rd Birthday and decided to
surprise the Plaines Mayor’s Office with a Birthday cake
commemorating the occasion. (pictured above left to right) US Army
Sergeant Alfred Brownlee, Des Plaines City Manager Jason Bajor,
Mayor Tony Arredia, City Clerk Donna McAllister and Army Captain
Peter T. Gillen cut the cake with a ceremonial saber in the Mayor’s
Office yesterday, June 11, 2008. Sergeant Brownlee and Captain
Gillen are affiliated with the US Army Recruiting Company, 3158 S.
