Cumberland TOD Plan

Through a competitive process, the City of Des Plaines was awarded a Community Planning grant by the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) to develop a Transit Oriented Development plan for the Cumberland Station area. The grant funding allowed the City to select a consultant team comprised of S.B. Friedman company, The Lakota Group urban designers, RWA consulting civil engineers, and DLK Civic Design architectural firm. Over a 9-12 month period the City and consultant team will work with a steering committee, which includes neighborhood residents and business owners, to develop a plan for the 1/2 mile radius around the Cumberland Station.
