The City
of Des Plaines Police Department currently has one K9 police dog.
The dog has been cross trained in the detection of illegal drugs,
search and rescue, building search, and handler protection. One of
his favorite duties is putting on demonstrations for the school
children and non-profit groups in the City of Des Plaines.
