School Drop-Off or Pick-Up

Many parents in Des Plaines drive their children to school in the morning and pick them up after school. Most schools have designated areas for dropping off and picking up students.  These designated areas should be used at all times for the safety of everyone.  NO DOUBLE PARKING!!!  Parents also need to remember it is illegal to stop, stand, or park on the roadway side of another vehicle that has already stopped or parked at the edge or curb of the street.    Please make sure that all laws and signs are obeyed when dropping off and picking up students.

Illinois Vehicle Code (625 ILCS 5/11-1303) (from Ch. 95 ½, par. 11-1303)
