On Wednesday, October 12, the City of Des Plaines Health & Human Services Division is partnering with the Frisbie Senior Center and Presence Health to host its annual Health, Housing, and Resource Fair. This popular event highlights a wide variety of health-related resources and services available to the community as a whole.
This year, the Fair has expanded to include a new session sponsored by Presence Health titled “Ask a Doc.” Beginning at 9:45 A.M., Presence is offering three Ask a Doc sessions designed to provide attendees an opportunity to gain important insights on common medical conditions, especially those that personally affect their general health and well-being.
Included in the Health, Housing, and Resource Fair are free health screenings offered by trained staff, information about local services and resources, and professional health providers ready to assist you. Annual flu shots will be available for $25, or at no cost for those covered by Medicare Part B.
The public is encouraged to attend the 2016 Health, Housing, and Resource Fair from 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 12, at the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 Northwest Highway, in Des Plaines.
